7 healthy ways to rock your summer grilling

One of the best aspects of summer is the unending grilling opportunities. When you have that wonderful piece of machinery in front of you, you can choose to go two different routes. On one hand, you can make the unhealthiest junk imaginable. On the other hand, you can have delicious entrees that are also great for your health and weight. If you choose the second route, here are some fun summer grilling suggestions for your convenience!

  1. Pineapple

If you’ve never tried fresh pineapples on the grill, you’re definitely missing out. It’s sweet, tasty and (best of all) guilt-free.

  1. Asparagus

Even if you think you don’t like asparagus, think again. Grilled asparagus that is well-seasoned will likely surprise you and your taste buds.

  1. Watermelon

When you’re making this dish, cut the watermelon in slices and add a little bit of salt. The smoky taste is a pleasant twist on an already great fruit.

  1. Shrimp

Sometimes we forget the simple classics as we focus on healthy eating. Grilled shrimp is a great choice because it’s low-carb and low-calorie.

  1. Salmon

Salmon is one of the healthiest foods you can eat and it happens to be delicious on the grill. Perfect for summer—just be careful not to overcook it.

  1. Breadless patties or hotdogs

When you’re at a neighborhood cookout, healthy eaters need not shrink away! The meat is low-carb; the bread should be avoided.

  1. Grapes

Another surprisingly tasty fruit you can grill to perfection. It goes great with a salad and has low sodium and no fat. Its vitamins are just as healthy on the grill!

Enjoy these summer grilling ideas while you still can. Our current balmy season provides so many ways for you to lose weight and get healthy. This is a fun one so take advantage accordingly! The most effective way to lose weight is through a medically supervised program. The Broadway Clinic in Oklahoma City provides that to people every day. Right now some patients are losing up to 10 pounds in the first week and up to 30 pounds in the first month.
